Sir Terry Matthews and Leo Lax Visit New InnovationXL Incubator | Innovation Park

This month, Innovation Park and Queen’s Industry Partnerships held a pitch and networking event at the new InnovationXL incubator (part of Innovation Park). Special Guests, Sir Terry Matthews, Chairman of Wesley Clover Inc., and Leo Lax, Managing Director of Ottawa’s L-Spark accelerator and incubator were present to give their
input to the startups pitching. Four companies pitched at the event:


Opprox provides retailers, restaurateurs and service companies an elegant, simple
way to create mobile custom offers for attracting new customers and building repeat
business and brand loyalty. The company is validating its product with a growing roster
of enterprises.

Entrada is a single software platform for managing all information and reporting for
medical schools, from admissions through undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing
development programs. Centred on Curriculum Management, it enables annual
accreditation reporting at a click of a button.



Docupet is solving municipalities’ problems with pet-license compliance and “pets as
cost centres”. The company’s Responsible Pet Ownership Program is offered to municipalities aiming to enhance licensing programs with increased compliance. Its innovative software system allows municipalities to fully outsource pet licensing with dramatically increased ease of use and robust incentives for pet owners.

Scent Trunk

Scent Trunk is the Netflix of fragrances. Scent Trunk is a personalized, niche fragrance
subscription, which uses machine learning technology to give subscribers exactly what they like to smell. The consumer demographic and scent preference data is also collected.
