Japan and export opportunities for Canadian companies

Kingston Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with the Trade Commissioners’ Service (TCS) at the Embassy of Canada in Japan, invites you to attend the webinar “Japan and export opportunities for Canadian companies”. Sectoral and trade experts from the TCS in Tokyo will discuss doing business in Japan and provide an overview of the Japanese market, priority sectors and trade opportunities, as well as the advantages of The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) for accessing the Japanese market. Areas of interest include sustainable manufacturing and agri-food trends and potential market opportunities in Japan.

Presenter
Lisa Mallin, First Secretary at the Embassy of Canada in Tokyo, is responsible for the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and manages a regional network among CPTPP missions, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Vietnam. Since joining Global Affairs Canada in 2010, Lisa has led the development of Canada’s information communication technologies trade policy positions and was Canada’s lead negotiator for telecommunications and e-commerce chapters in the Trade in Services Agreement (TISA) negotiations. She has also worked on the Canada-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement negotiations, Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement negotiations, Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations, and World Trade Organization Trade Policy Reviews.
