Business Systems 101: WE-CAN Workshop for Women

Are you a small business owner who’s feeling burned out and struggling to stay organized? Believe it or not, this is a common feeling among entrepreneurs as they grow and scale their business.
Join Jenny Chandler and Amanda Fraser of Simple Desk to learn more about why systems are essential for business success, and how you can start implementing systems today!
In this workshop you will learn:
· Why business systems are so important
· Examples of basic business systems
· How to create a business system for your business
· How to identify your core tasks
· Where to store your business systems
· How to keep your files organized
· Common obstacles and how to overcome them
This workshop will also include a Q&A session.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:
Jenny Chandler is the owner and creator of Simple Desk, a small business support solutions company based in Quinte West, Ontario. The inspiration behind Simple Desk came from years of seeing her fellow entrepreneurs struggle to juggle the demands of work-life, family life, and their personal needs. From marketing and bookkeeping to VA support, process creation, and automation, Simple Desk is a full-scale business support company whose main goal is to eliminate the challenges you face as a small business owner by providing specialized and effective outsourcing solutions.
Amanda Fraser is the resident systems guru at Simple Desk and has helped many clients create and implement the processes that help their businesses run smoothly. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and diverse background in project, and supply chain management.
ABOUT THE WE-CAN PROJECT:
The WE-CAN Project is led by Queen’s University and supported by the Government of Canada. Its mission is to inspire and empower existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs by providing them with tools, resources, expert mentors, networks and community building to expand existing businesses and to launch new ventures.
The Government of Canada, through FedDev Ontario’s Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES) Ecosystem Fund is providing $3.2 million for Queen’s University to design and deliver programs and services to accelerate, train, mentor and provide resources to women entrepreneurs and women-led companies in the community.
The focus of the WES strategy is to provide support to women entrepreneurs from diverse and underrepresented groups.
