CEO’s Message From November Newsletter

Contributing to Innovation in Eastern Ontario

Welcome to our November newsletter. With our second quarter of fiscal 2020 in the books, I am pleased to share with you some highlights of this past year and provide you with a peak into what we have planned in the coming months.

As you read on, remember that none of this would be possible without the support of our partners. To all of you, I say “Thank You.” Together we continue our quest to foster entrepreneurship and innovation so that we can support a network of globally competitive companies based in Eastern Ontario.

As Entrepreneurs helping Entrepreneurs, our team of advisors are our greatest asset. With that, I am pleased to announce the arrival of John Moore and Mike Amos as EIRs that have joined our team of exceptional advisors to help meet the needs of our ever-expanding base of clients.

In addition, to support our growth, we are also announcing the launch of two new programs: Launch Pad and Amplify. Launch Pad is an eight week boot camp created to help early stage companies solidify and execute their business model. Amplify is our deep dive mentorship program supporting growing companies as they scale their business. All together our EIRs are currently engaged with 31 companies employing 166 people and forecasting over $17.6 million in annual revenue.

As access to capital is always at the top of the list for growing companies, I am very pleased to report that our partnership with the South Eastern Ontario Angel Network (SOAN) continues to grow. With that said, we would like to congratulate SOAN on the recently announced addition of the Cornwall Chapter of SOAN and their partnership with CREATE.

Finally, we would like to let you know we have moved to a new innovation space at 310 Bagot Street in downtown Kingston. You are welcomed to come by and visit us or you can connect with us at our other Kingston locations at St Lawrence College and Queens University – Mitchell Hall or our regional offices in Belleville, Smiths Falls, and Cornwall.

I hope you enjoy reading the details in this issue and we look forward to keeping you abreast of our developments on a regular basis.

Kind Regards,
Scott Runte
